Sinopec Qingdao Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is a large-size state-owned enterprise engaged in crude oil refining and the production of various petrochemical products. It is one of the Top 100 enterprises in Shangdong Province and a leading industrial enterprise in Qingdao City. The Company was established in 1962 as Qingdao Petrochemical Plant and was incorporated into Sinopec Group in December 2000. After debt-to-equity swap upon the approval of the State Council in 2003, Sinopec Qingdao Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was established with the joint investment of Sinopec Group, China Great Wall Asset Management Company and China Huarong Asset Management Company, and finally became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Group after share repurchase in 2007 and amendment of its business registration in 2008. Acquired by Sinopec Corp. in 2009, the Company took its current name. 

The construction of high-acid crude oil processing projects was started in 2008 and put into operation in 2010. As a result, the Company has become a major high-acid crude oil processing base with a refining of 5 million tops per year. The Company owns more than 10 production units, corresponding utilities and auxiliary facilities, operating with advanced technologies and achieving safe and environmental-friendly production. In addition, it has two crude oil pipelines, two refined oil products pipelines, and one dry gas pipeline. Main products vary in nearly 20 types such as gasoline, diesel, naphtha, bunker fuel oil, petroleum coke, LPG, propane, propylene, polypropylene, benzene and industrial sulfur, etc. 

The Company is located in Licang District, Qingdao City, covering an area of more than 1406 mu. It enjoys convenient transportation conditions with its crude oil pipelines directly extended to Huangdao Island crude terminal and depots, oil products pipelines directly extended to the storage tank farm of Sinopec oil products marketing subsidiary locally, a special railway line connected with Jiaozhou-Jinan Railway and the road linked with Jinan-Qingzhou Freeway and Qingzhou-Yinchuan Freeway.
