SINOPEC Northeast Oil and Gas Company (Hereinafter referred as Northeast Oil and Gas Company)is a specialized oil company engaging in research, production and sales of petroleum and natural gas exploration and development in the northeast of China. It was established in 1980 and located in Changchun city, Jilin province. Northeast Oil and Gas Company presides over 44 blocks of petroleum exploration and mining till the end of 2011, the total area which is distributed in Jilin, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Neimenggu provinces is about 111 square kilometers. At the end of 2011, the total resource of petroleum is 2.234 billion tons of oil equivalent while the unconventional resource(shale gas) is up to 5.48 trillion cubic meters. 

2011，Northeast Oil and Gas Company brings up and carries out a series of significant strategies by seizing the opportunities, making scientific plans and emancipating minds. “One important breakthrough, two main discoveries and five major advances ” are obtained in operation. It is submitted up to 0.1billion tons of 3 grades OOIP. The project of “Songnan New Field Breakthrough” awarded SINOPEC oil & gas major breakthrough the first prize. The production tasks of oil and natural gas are completed perfectly and safely. The development work is carried out orderly and the development indicator has an overall improvement. The well utilization rate of has been increased by 4% and natural decline rate has been reduced by 2.5%. Engineering technology is being improved fast and horizontal well technology has been put into use effectively. Sales trend of oil and gas win the initiative , Northeast Oil and Gas Company becomes the important energy provider for the city, recognized as a famous responsible enterprise. It supplies the resource foundation as to promote the economic constructions of the locals, fulfilling the responsibility for politics and economy. 

Northeast Oil and Gas Company has been stepping into the best period of development. During the “Twelfth Five Year Plan” , it will try the best to find proven OIP and GIP amount to 0.1billion tons and 50-70 billion cubic meters respectively. At the end of the year, annual production will double, increased to 1.4 million tons and struggled for 2.0 million tons. After the “Twelfth Five Year Plan”, Northeast Oil and Gas Company will be built up as a large and medium sized field of oil and gas.
