SINOPEC Shanghai Oil Products Company (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Oil Products Company) is a large marketing enterprise directly under the China Petrochemical Co., Ltd. It was founded in October 1953, formerly known as Shanghai Branch of China Petroleum. In November 1995, Shanghai Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded formally. In September 1998, Shanghai Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd. was included into the China Petrochemical Corp. And in Feb. 2000, in accordance with the Sinopec’s requirements of restructuring, separating, transformation and listing, its main parts were turned into Shanghai Oil Products Company China Petrochemical Co., Ltd..Currently, there are six service centers and fourteen departments, with 7,446 employees. 

The company focuses on wholesale, retail, direct marketing distribution and warehousing operations of gasoline, diesel oil, fuel oil, lubricant oil，other oil products and non-oil business including auto repair service, fast food, convenience stores in the gas stations and so on. Its market share in refined oil product is about 68% and 72% in the retail market. Currently the company has 623 gas stations, 571 of which are under operation. There are 4 oil depots (Gaoqiang, Yangpu, Minhang, Nanmen.) 55.74-kilometer-long oil pipelines and other facilities. The gas stations are of full-featured services in addition to the provision of quality oil products and excellent services. In recent years, the opening of convenience stores, auto services, and international brands catering improved the level of services "the interests of people, helping the people, and for the convenience of the citizens ". There are 407 convenience stores, 20 famous auto service centers and 3 international restaurants. It has developed into a reasonable layout, basic sound, highlighting the main industry, assets quality, scientific management science, standard services and very strong branch of large state-owned joint-stock enterprise. 

In recent years, we have obtained various honors, such as 2009-2010 Year Model Unit of Shanghai, State-owned Enterprise's Participation in 2010 Shanghai EXPO Advanced Collective, Fourteen Consectutive Championships in Advanced Enterprises in Safe Production and Six Consectutive Championships in National Ankang Cup Competition. Gerneral Manager's Office of Sinopec was elected Shanghai EXPO Adanced Unit by the the Sate Council.
