One-year countdown to the Sinopec-hosted 7th World Geothermal Congress 2023.

On April 16th, the first plenary meeting of the WGC2023 Organizing Committee was held in Beijing to mark the one-year countdown to the event. Andy Blair, President of the International Geothermal Association, delivered a video speech.

Under Sinopec’s efforts to advance high-quality development of the global geothermal industry, 22 counties and prefectural-level cities in China now see their heating capacity exceed one million square meters, and the total capacity is more than 80 million square meters.
